During the 2026 Conclave held at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp in Calverton, NY Section E18 elected new officers. These officers were sworn in by 2025-2026 Section Chief Jake Harmon:
- Section Chief – Mateu T.
- Section Vice Chief – Alexis L.
- Section Secretary – Shyam D.
Mateu was elected as Section Chief, previously serving as Shinnecock Lodge Treasurer during the 2025-26 Scouting year and sitting on the Buckskin/Shinnecock Lodge Merger Committee. Mateu looks forward to working with our lodges and their chiefs in the coming year. Mateu plans on attending National Leadership Seminar and attending NOAC 2027.
Alexis was elected to serve as Section Vice Chief and hails from Kintecoying Lodge. A former Lodge Chief, Alexis is excited to assist in planning for a great SWFT Conference and Conclave in Section E18.
Shyam was elected to serve as Section Secretary. He is a member of Shinnecock Lodge and is excited to keep Section E18 up-to-date with information on our website and social accounts.
Join us in congratulating our three officers for the 2026-2027 year! This new team of officers is ready to continue the Section E18 legacy.
During the Conclave COC meeting, Chris Philp turned over the reins as Section Adviser James Farrell. Chris took on the role of Section Adviser in 2022, visiting NOAC in Knoxville, just weeks after his appointment, to hand out ices at the Section gathering. James previously served as Associate Section Adviser and he was happy to welcome Laurie Lottman as an Associate Section Adviser. Our section advisers are proud of all of the great things done in 2025-2026 and look forward to making new memories and providing great experiences to the Arrowmen of Section E18.
