Section Chief

Jake Harmon

Vigil Honor

Jake is a Vigil Honor member and Eagle Scout from Kintecoying Lodge #4. He has held a variety of leadership roles, including Chapter Chief, Lodge Chief, Section Secretary, and now proudly serves as Section Chief. Jake has served on staff for the National Leadership Seminar, National Order of the Arrow Conference, and at Ten Mile Rivers’ Camp Keowa, and is currently a student at Brooklyn College. He’s looking forward to working alongside the other officers to deliver an unforgettable conclave at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.

Section Vice Chief

Wesley P.

Brotherhood

Wesley is a Brotherhood member and Life Scout from Shinnecock Lodge #360. This past year Wesley served as Shinnecock’s Lodge Vice Chief of Program and the Conclave Vice Chief of Special Events and this year he proudly serves as Section Vice Chief. For the second time Wesley will be serving on NAYLE Staff and will also be serving on Suffolk County Council’s NYLT Staff. Wesley is super excited to serve the section this year and work with the lodges to plan this years SWFT Conference. 

Section Secretary

Will H.

Brotherhood

Will is an Eagle Scout and Brotherhood Member of Achewon Netopalis Lodge #427. Before serving as Section Secretary, Will served as Achewon Netopalis’ Vice Chief of Operations and 2025 Conclave Vice Chief – Trading Post. Will is super excited to serve the section this year and better the communication throughout our 5 lodges.

Section Adviser & Associate Adviser

Chris Philp will be serving as Section Adviser and James Farrell will be serving as Associate Section Adviser.

 

Chris and James have served Section E18 since 2022 in their roles.

 

Chris is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of Shinnecock Lodge where he served as a Lodge Adviser. He has served in many other roles within Suffolk County Council and is currently a District Commissioner and the Council NCAP Chair. His tenure in Scouting is marked with reception of the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA), James E. West Fellowship, Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit. Chris has completed Wood Badge, having staffed courses NST10-404-22, and 10-404-24; completed National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar and Developing Youth Leadership Conference.

 

James is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of Buckskin Lodge where he served as a Lodge Adviser. He has served in many roles within Theodore Roosevelt Council and Area 2 having previously served as Area Advisor for Venturing and sat on the Area Committee for Northeast Region Area 2. He currently serves Theodore Roosevelt as Council Camping Chair along with NCAP Chair. During his tenure in Scouting he has received a James E. West Fellowship, Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit and the Area Venturing Leadership Award. James has completed Wood Badge, having staffed N2-404-19, T10-386-23, and 10-386-25; completed National Leadership Seminar, National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar, and Developing Youth Leadership Conference.
